Tunnel Form is a system that enables the casting of walls and slabs in a single operation on a daily cycle. Compared to conventional methods, this rapid construction technique significantly reduces project duration.
The Tunnel Form System brings speed, quality, and dimensional accuracy to concrete construction, resulting in substantial savings in finishing and mechanical & electrical (M&E) works. Advanced technologies used in steel formwork production make tunnel forms exceptionally strong and durable.
The system produces efficient load-bearing structures, which are considered among the most earthquake-resistant forms of reinforced concrete construction.
Longest Lifetime: The high-tech steel system provides durability and strength. The service life of the MKTF Tunnel Form System allows for up to 500 uses, as long as the system is used properly in accordance with the instructions.
Surface Quality: The steel panel surface provides a smooth concrete finish. Together with dimensional accuracy, these features of the system eliminate finishing work such as cement plastering.
Work Safety: The Tunnel Form System ensures the highest jobsite safety due to its full perimeter platform systems.
All panels forming the MKTF Tunnel Formwork System are made of sheet metal that will be exposed to concrete, with a thickness of 3mm. These panels are made from THRU type 3244 (S275) steel produced by Ereğli Iron and Steel Factories Co. Inc.
The tunnel formwork is manufactured to withstand a strength of 80 kN/m² of concrete pressure. Support profiles, such as box profiles (50x60x2 mm) and U profiles (30x60x4 mm), placed on the back surfaces of the panels, provide this strength.
The MKTF Tunnel Formwork System is 10% lighter than Modular Tunnel Formwork Systems. Due to its lightness, it is easier and quicker to displace the molds to the next stage after casting.
At least 70% of all products belonging to the MKTF Tunnel Formwork System can be used even in projects where the floor height remains unchanged. It is a system that can be easily adapted for different projects with minimal cost.
Almost all (approximately 90%) of the connection elements belonging to the MKTF Tunnel System are made of standard materials. Since the connection elements are standard products, their procurement is easy and cost-effective when needed over time.
Easy Adjustment with Telescopic Push-Pull Props: Standard push-pull props can be used for every tunnel dimension due to their telescopic nature. MKTF pushpull props make it very easy to adjust both vertical and horizontal leveling. Lift up the control arm and move the horizontal panel until it is leveled. Once the arm is locked, the tunnel is properly adjusted.
Easy Stripping with Rollers: MKTF Half Tunnels can easily be moved and stripped out with the help of rollers, which are used instead of wheels. Rollers are placed under vertical panels.
Elevated Bottom Tie-Rod Level for Higher Kicker Concrete: High kickers make it easier to adjust tunnel heights, which eliminates leveling mistakes in the foundation.
Telescopic Extension Tunnel Legs for Non-Typical Floors: MKTF Tunnel Form can be used on non-typical floors with higher floor levels by the help of telescopic extension legs mounted on the inner vertical panels. Such floors can be cast in two steps easily by elevating tunnel forms on the legs for the second casting.
Stripping Platform Extension Leg for Non-Typical Floors: MKTF stripping platforms can be easily used on non-typical floors with higher floor levels with the help of the extended triangular leg of the platform.
